Given the wide range of entertainment and cultural opportunities, it also feels like a "City of the Arts". Downtown Durham is experiencing an unprecedented revitalization of old tobacco warehouses into upscale residences and business sites.  Durham County boasts one of the premier business parks in the world, Research Triangle Park. Chapel Hill - Is located in Orange County and is the quintessential college town. It takes pride in being home to the nation's oldest public university, and is commonly referred to as "The Southern Part of Heaven".  Chapel Hill also  finds immense popularity among retirees. Excellent health care, an academic atmosphere and a diverse array of housing options make this one of the most desirable places to live in all of North Carolina. Nestled on the western border of Chapel Hill is Carrboro. This small community, rich in culture and economic diversity, is often called the "Paris of the Piedmont". The northern section of Orange County boasts the historic town of Hillsborough. Rich in history, dating from the late 18th century, many writers and artists make their home here.
